Tea for One was a set of vessels completed when the pandemic presence was first being felt in Australia and I was feeling anxious about the immediate future.  Now, as I settle into our new COVID-normal and consider the changes that have occurred, both those knowingly implemented and others that have covertly entered our way of life, I find myself enjoying staying in my familiar home spaces, being ‘laid in the cradle of the house’ (Bachelard et al. 2014).  The notion of being part of the house, and the house being part of me is discussed in the re-working of Tea for One to Where Dwells My Heart.  What was a metaphor for home, security and isolation becomes a wearable piece, with the duel aspect of the body cherishing the home, and the home covering and protecting the body.
